BABYMONSTER, YG Entertainment’s powerhouse rookie girl group, officially made their debut on November 27, 2023. Consisting of seven members from South Korea, Japan, and Thailand, the group quickly gained attention for their exceptional talent and polished stage presence. A major factor behind their readiness was their diverse and rigorous trainee experiences.

Recently, the group appeared on the Zach Sang Show, where they candidly discussed their YG trainee journey. When asked about the order in which they joined the company, Rami revealed, “Me. I joined first. About six years ago.” Asa followed, saying, “Then me, five years ago,” and Rora added, “And then me, also five years ago.” Ruka noted that she “joined around the same time as Asa and Rora.” Meanwhile, Pharita stated, “I joined four years ago,” and Chiquita closed the timeline with, “I joined last, three years ago.”

The members also shared how they initially met each other at YG since each joined at different times. One explained, “We all joined at different times, so we met each other for the first time at YG.” Their bond solidified during the competitive survival program Last Evaluation, which determined the final debut lineup. Despite the pressures, they recalled the moment they learned they would all debut together as deeply emotional, reinforcing their unity and shared determination.

As of May 2025, BABYMONSTER is actively promoting through their first world tour titled HELLO MONSTERS, which began on January 25 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul and includes 32 shows across Asia and North America, with stops in cities like Los Angeles, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Toronto. The group is also preparing to release a new single in July 2025, followed by a full-length album in the third quarter of the year, signaling their continued musical growth. Additionally, BABYMONSTER is collaborating with Sony Park for an interactive fan exhibition featuring original games inspired by their music, blending entertainment and technology in a fresh, fan-focused experience.
